An Invitation: Let's Journey Together this Lent

Please join me in a Lenten Journey meditating on the Psalms. We will look at one psalm each week. Short Psalm Reflections will be shared on Monday. During Holy Week, there will be an additional Psalm on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The Psalms selected will be from the Revised Common Lectionary. Together we will reflect on God’s word and let it be a part of our day and our life - a strength and a trustworthy guide to light the way forward.
As I looked at the collection of Psalms chosen for Lent in the lectionary, a theme emerged - God’s Unfailing Love. Eugene Peterson said, “God has a clear priority: to love you.” Together, let's learn more about God's love.
A Prayerful Pause
“The Lord longs to be gracious to you.” Isa 30:18
Lord, my God,
before I can even turn to you, you are already there -
longing to be with me,
longing to be gracious to me.
You embrace me as I am,
and lead me to who I can be with you.
As your grace and love seek me,
Lord, I seek you.
I turn to you.
Teach me to receive your grace,
Help me receive your love.
Help me stay with you.
With you,
I have all I need.
